Īśāvāsya Upaniṣad (Shukla Yajurveda Adhyāya 40)
ईशा वास्यमिदं सर्वं यत्किञ्च जगत्यां जगत् । तेन त्यक्तेन भुञ्जीथा मा गृधः कस्यस्विद्धनम् ॥
Unlike other Upaniṣads that belong to the Brāhmaṇas or Āraṇyakas, the Īśāvāsya Upaniṣad is the actual 40th Adhyāya of the Shukla Yajurveda Saṁhitā. Opening with 'Īśā vāsyam idaṁ sarvam' (All this universe is pervaded by the Lord; enjoy through renunciation and covet not), Mahatma Gandhi famously remarked that if all other scriptures were lost and only this first verse survived, Sanātana Dharma would live forever.
